wp constable recruitment 2013. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Excise Constable / Lady Excise Constable recruitment 2013.

A) Read the following information to ascertain your eligibility.
B) Visit the office of the Superintendent of Police or the office of the Commissioner of Police (except Kolkata) between 24.01.2013 to 24.02.2013 with Bank Draft (Payable at Kolkata) / Crossed Postal Order (payable at GPO, Kolkata) in favour of “West Bengal Police Recruitment Board” of Rs.150/- or Caste Certificate (for the candidates from Schedule Tribe / Scheduled Caste Community of West Bengal only) or Identity Card issued by the Labour Department, Government of West Bengal in case of Exempted Category candidate to obtain the Application Form.
C) Fill the form completely and sign the same.
D) Attach the documents as per the list mentioned in para 13.
E) Ensure that the form is submitted on or before 25.02.2013.

Excise Constable / Lady Excise Constable in the pay scale of Rs. 5,400-25,200/- (Pay Band-2) with Grade Pay Rs. 2,600/-, plus other admissible allowances.

There will be reservation for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Ex-serviceman and Exempted Category as per orders issued by the Government of West Bengal from time to time. Age concession will be granted for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-serviceman and Exempted Category candidates as per Govt. order. The concession is admissible to SC, ST and OBC candidates of
West Bengal only.

(1) On recruitment a candidate may be posted in any Division / Organization or in any Excise District under the jurisdiction of such division and a candidate so appointed to the post of Excise Constable / Lady Excise Constable in a Division shall be transferred to any district within the division only. But the Excise Commissioner may transfer a Constable / Lady Constable from one Division to
other Division.

3. Eligibility:-
i) Must be a citizen of India.
ii) Age:- The candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years of age as on 01.01.2013 (i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1986 and not later than 1st January, 1995). Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 (five) years for SC/ST candidates and 03 (three) years for OBC candidates of West Bengal only. The upper age limit is also relaxable for Ex-serviceman and Exempted Category Candidates as per existing Govt. rules.
iii) Educational Qualification:- The candidates must have passed Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination under any Board recognized by the State Government or the Central Government.

Candidature of the candidates will be subject to verification of the document submitted regarding their claim for eligibility at a later stage. Eligible candidates will be called for Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) before the Range Recruitment Board.

The height and weight of the candidates will be measured by Electronic Machines.

Those who qualify in PMT will be eligible for PET.
i) For Male Candidates:- Long distance run 1600 meters in maximum 06 minute and 30 seconds.
ii) For Female Candidates:- Long distance run 400 meters in maximum 02 minutes.

Timing of individual runner shall be taken with the help of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Device) Technology.
The Venue for the PMT and PET will be decided by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.

Those who qualify in PMT and PET will be asked to appear in Written Examination. The Written Examination will be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board. The Written Examination will have objective type questions (MCQ) on General Awareness and General Knowledge, English, Elementary Mathematics and Reasoning. The candidates will have to fill up the correct blank spaces against a question number on the machine readable OMR answer sheet.
